Organization Objective:
Engineers Without Borders USA is a nonprofit organization of students and professionals that harnesses the skills of engineering to tackle the challenges that keep the world's poorest people from living healthy, productive lives. Our Texas Tech chapter has open projects in Panama and Kenya where we are working to provide sustainable solutions to drinking water and wastewater complications.
Description:
Changing Reality: One Community at a Time, is an art exhibition led by the Texas Tech University Engineers Without Borders Chapter that aims to showcase the change humanitarian work can bring to the lives of people in need. We are inviting all artists to capture this mission within their artwork to help raise awareness as to the impact a individuals can have on the world around them.
All submissions will be displayed in the Christine DeVitt Icehouse at Lubbock’s May 1st First Friday Art Trail.
All submissions and featured works will have the option to participate in the CapRock Winery silent auction on May 2nd.
All auctioned pieces are eligible for a schedule A tax deduction and an optional 10% commission if sold.

Presentation Guidelines
All pieces must be original works.
Artwork must include a description and approximate dimensions.
All selected pieces must be able to be hung on a wall or be freestanding. Otherwise, the artist must provide shelves/pedestal.
Silent Auction (May 2nd, 2020):
Will be held at the beautiful CapRock Winery
There will be a $10 entry fee that may be paid at the door or online.
Checks, card, and cash will be accepted as payment; however, There is a limited amount of change if paid in cash.
Bidders must register basic contact information and a refundable payment of $50 in order to ensure payment will be received.
Bidders will receive a registration number to expedite the bidding process.
Purchased pieces will be received upon payment.
If the piece is not collected a storage fee will be implemented after one week.
All pieces not sold may be returned to the artists or donated to future endeavors.
